Dans ses \u0153uvres, le corps, c&rsquo;est mati\u00e8re \u00e0 l&rsquo;origine (traces de restes de feu, m\u00e9tal, pierres ocres, etc.). Au fil des ans, l&rsquo;artiste s&rsquo;est attach\u00e9 \u00e0 confronter ou \u00e0 associer cette mati\u00e8re \u00e0 une repr\u00e9sentation plastique de l&rsquo;esprit (lignes, formes g\u00e9om\u00e9triques, etc.), tout ce qui est le fruit de l\u2019homme culturellement, cette tendance \u00e0 l&rsquo;abstraction, qui le diff\u00e9rencie des animaux et qui pourrait donner un sens \u00e0 sa vie d\u2019humain, confront\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019univers qui l\u2019entoure. La lumi\u00e8re, \u00e0 la fois onde et particule, m\u00e9dium \u00e0 part enti\u00e8re dans l&rsquo;\u0153uvre de Beridon, incarne le lien entre les \u00e9l\u00e9ments naturels (le corps) et les \u00e9l\u00e9ments plus conceptuels (l&rsquo;esprit). Dans cette perspective, la culture ne domine pas la nature, mais l&rsquo;\u00e9coute. Elle agit comme un pont, un espace de jonction silencieuse entre le monde et notre perception. \u00ab Est-ce la mati\u00e8re qui cr\u00e9e l&rsquo;esprit ou l&rsquo;esprit qui vient impr\u00e9gner la mati\u00e8re ? \u00bb. Cette question reste au centre de l&rsquo;approche de l&rsquo;artiste. Victime d&rsquo;un accident de moto \u00e0 vingt ans, il reste immobilis\u00e9 plusieurs mois, au cours desquels nait sa r\u00e9flexion artistique. En 1991, il r\u00e9alise ses premiers travaux, obtient en 1993 le 1er prix des jeunes peintres au Salon d\u2019automne de la Loire (Blois) et en 2001 le Prix <em>Art Dialogue\u2013Paris<\/em> au 18\u00e8me RDV des Jeunes Plasticiens (La Garde). Il d\u00e9veloppe depuis une \u0153uvre inclassable, \u00e0 la crois\u00e9e des arts plastiques, de la philosophie et des sciences. Ses \u0153uvres ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9es dans de nombreux centres d\u2019art et galeries, en France et \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger, notamment \u00e0 <strong>La Napoule Art Foundation<\/strong> (2025), \u00e0 la <strong>Fondation Fernet-Branca<\/strong> (2020), au <strong>Courtauld Institute of Art<\/strong> (2012-2013), \u00e0 la galerie <strong>Bowman<\/strong> de Londres, et sont pr\u00e9sentes au sein de nombreuses collections priv\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-gutena-tab gutena-tab-block gutena-tab-block-9d59ed-8c inactive\" data-tab=\"2\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"padding-top:0;padding-bottom:0\">\n<div style=\"height:28px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"ticss-29602c38\" style=\"font-size:16px\"><strong>Eric B\u00e9ridon<\/strong> relentlessly questions the meaning of life, exploring the link between the visible and the invisible, the instinctive and the cognitive, and seeks to unite in a single creative process the materiality of the body and the abstraction of the mind, without opposing them. In his works, the body is matter at its origin (traces of fire remains, metal, ochre stones, etc.). Over the years, the artist&rsquo;s pursuit has been to confront or associate this matter with a plastic representation of the spirit (lines, geometric shapes, etc.), everything that is culturally produced by humankind, the tendency toward abstraction that distinguishes humans from animals, and which might offer meaning to human existence in the face of the surrounding universe. Light, both wave and particle, as a medium in its own right in Beridon\u2019s work, embodies the connection between natural elements (the body) and more conceptual ones (the mind). From this perspective, culture does not dominate nature, but listens to it. It acts as a bridge, a space of silent junction between the world and our perception. \u201cIs it matter that creates the mind or the mind that comes to impregnate matter?\u201d This question remains at the centre of the artist\u2019s approach. After suffering a motorcycle accident at the age of twenty, he was immobilised for several months, during which time his artistic reflection began to take shape. In 1991, he produced his first works, winning first prize for young painters at the Salon d&rsquo;Automne de la Loire (Blois) in 1993 and the <em>Art Dialogue\u2013Paris<\/em> prize at the 18th RDV des Jeunes Plasticiens (La Garde) in 2001. He has since developed an unclassifiable body of work, at the crossroads of visual arts, philosophy and science.
